PRAISE FOR MARGIE'S WORK
Fellow classmates, take my advice, make sure you get this one. You Only Die Once is an enlightening, interesting book - truly a delight to read and quite humorous in parts. This book should be on the U.S. Bestseller List. Robert Verwey, Mount Eliza, Victoria, Australia Book Review for the Harvard Alumni Bulletin Advanced Management Program, June 2006 Issue I believe in this Book and Personal Planner so much that our Hospice team at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, TX will be furnishing copies of them to our patients and families. Temple, TX Margie Jenkins' book is a wonderfully insightful, easy-to-read journey through the things that we all treasure about life, especially as we face the end of life. She interweaves her personal experiences with her clients, sharing their experiences to illustrate that death is not something to be shut away in a closet, treated as "life's most overlooked milestone." Instead, she sets forth a detailed yet not overwhelming compendium of valuable information. The reader literally has a handbook on how to prepare for the end of life. And, her poignant stories of the final years of her own father, who lived to be 100, present perhaps some of the best writing (and helpful ideas) in the book. This is a very well-written, personable book, written in a conversational style that is most inviting. Nancy Borst, Writer, Kansas, USA Your book changed my life. Instead of avoiding this taboo subject, I can now talk to my daughters with comfort and wisdom. Mary Embree, Author Services, Ventura, CA As an Estate Planning Attorney, I encourage people to think beyond legal documents when considering death. I'm so impressed with how your Book and Personal Planner helps them think through their choices that I am giving a copy to each of my clients. Thanks, Mrs. Jenkins. John Brodnax, Lakeway, TX Margie, it is hard to imagine an upbeat book about death and dying, but you did it. Elizabeth Bennett, Former Book Editor, The Houston Post You Only Die Once tackles the subject of death with wit and style, embellished with personal vignettes. Funeral Consumer Alliance, National Office, South Burlington, VT
Your book is enlightening, humorous, and pensive. A most significant book. A top-notcher.
